We thought that the Android based Smartphone from Dell would be a real challenger to the likes of iPhone considering the might of Dell, but to our disappointment, this one instead of being an iPhone killer could well ‘kill’ itself. Codenamed the Benzine and to be marketed in China as the Dell Mini 3i, it sure belongs to the category of affordable android touch sensitive phones. The specifications of the smartphone have gone public and we are sorry to say that they are boringly usual. It offers Quad-band GSM connectivity with GPRS and EDGE and has a 3.5-inch touchscreen with a virtual QWERTY board. The touchscreen has a 640 x 360 pixels resolution and offers 262K colors alongwith handwriting recognition. There is a multi-touch interface and a 3MP camera with auto-focus, flash and 30fps video recording. Also, there is a slot for a microSD card, Bluetooth 2.0 integration and USB 2.0.
