Cell Phone-controlled Jukeboxes coming to a pub near you soon

I don’t know if it’s a good thing or a bad thing, but LocaModa and Touch Tunes have collaborated on developing a way to sync over 30,000 jukeboxes located in various parts of the country to social networks that will allow users to control them remotely via cellphones. The new technology will allow patrons to let their handsets interact with the flat-panel screens of the jukeboxes that will be juiced by Touch Tunes jukebox’s media server. Social networks will also get a part of the action with webpages displaying all interaction as data feeds, and online users will also be allowed to participate in the activity at their chosen locations. Sounds like fun, but I guess stuff like this only works in the movies where the nerds screw with the beefy football players of their high school using technology just like this. However, something tells me that this thing is going to get a lot of highschoolers beaten up by local bullies!
