Is BlackBberry going ‘stale’? From the looks of it, the company is certainly feeling the heat of rising competition and is trying far too many things. Did we learn somewhere that success spawns additional success? If that was the case, the success of BlackBerry Pearl, a gem of a gadget, should have spawned another kick-ass design. Instead, the company chose to go the ‘in-thing’ way, developing a flip phone that seems more like a cheesy hybrid of MotoRazr V3i and the Pearl (keypad, in particular!). A product of RIM (Research In Motion), the BlackBerry KickStart has been kept under wraps, although the news did leak through. Slated for an August release (if the rumors are true!), the KickStart doesn’t seem to excite any interest. Perhaps, BlackBerry has an ace up its sleeve with regard to its functionality. We’ll never know for sure till it hits the stands.
