Conventionally if you purchase a phone through Best Buy you do need to mail in a rebate form and then wait for a check in mail for all subscriber oriented offerings. However, Best Buy has made an exemption in the case of first HTC Android phone, HTC Hero. The consumers will not have to mail in the $100 rebate form and hence they will not wait for a check. Courtesy of this exemption, Best Buy and the Sprint stores will be selling the smartphone at an equal price of $180 for a two-year contract and the sales will begin October 11. The 5 MP Smartphone with an all out touch screen keypad on a 3.2-inch HVG screen is a highly anticipated offering from the Sprint Contingent.
