Apple finally wins the swipe gestures patent for iPhone, exactly a month after we told you about its filing for one. A 358-page patent covers the touch screen, GUI and various other methods. This epic-sized text throws ample light on various gestures like pinches and zooms, finger swipes, two-thumb twists and more. In a way, it’s a precautionary measure taken against misuse of patented applications.
So, it makes me think about the future iPhone versions with some cool applications quite unheard of. A blogging application, a digital video camera application, voice-activated dialing and a touchpad ready to activate and deactivate functions; it covers almost all of these. Now, it would be interesting to see how Apple reacts to other competitors’ infiltration into the forbidden zone, if it ever happens!
