I guess the developers over Apple took offense to my trivial question as to what would surface first- the SMS Security Patch or the 3.0.1 Update. As a consequence what ensues is the release of the Apple iPhone 3.0.1 Update that includes the SMS patch as well. The vulnerability depicted by Miller at Black Hat was supposedly to be covered up by Today as per O2 UK, but it happened sooner and as a part of the update itself. The updates can be downloaded through the iTunes and the size of the down-loadable file will depend on the version of the iPhone being updated. One just needs to hook up his computer to the iPhone and hit the-check for updates-button in the iTunes.
