I have one 4GB RAM stick but I was wondering if I need to buy two 2GB RAM sticks or if I can just run that single ram stick in the slots even though they are designated as dual channel? How does it affect the performance if you only put one 4GB RAM stick even though the RAM slots are designed as dual channel? I would really appreciate your useful information pertaining to my query.
