Is there any way to uninstall pre-installed apps on HTC Droid Eris?

I have bought an HTC Droid Eris with Verizon. It came with pre-installation of several apps that I don’t use, but they in some cases start automatically. These include Footprints, Amazon MP3, Google Talk, YouTube, and Teeter. I would really like to uninstall them, but I am not given that option when I go into ‘Manage applications’ in Settings. Is there another way of removing these pre-installed apps from my phone? I would really appreciate your useful assistance regarding this. Please help. Thanks.
