Twins: World’s first GSM/WCDMA dual-mode mobile phone

twins

The name of the phone is Twins because it provides you two numbers on a single device. I mean two SIM cards, GSM and WCDMA. The benefit of using two numbers in a mobile is that you can have more flexibility while dealing your contacts. Plainly speaking, you can use one number for business and another for personal needs. Keeping this in mind, TechFaith has designed the Twins, which is now the first WCDMA/GSM dual mode phone in the world.

The unique feature of the Twins is that it allows users loading one WCDMA card and one GSM or loading dual GSM SIM cards. They can use both these cards simultaneously. I am sure the phone like this, will cater the need of the frequent travelers who always need to change their SIM cards with the change in location.

With Twins, the customers can enjoy certain 3G services like video calls, internet access, MP3 and MPEG4 player etc. The phone comes with a 2.0 megapixel camera, 2.8″ touch sensitive TFT-LCD display and 256MB/64MB ROM memory.

TechFaith will be releasing the phone with two models, Dragonfly and OMAP.
