Target Customers: Touchscreen handset users who are budget-conscious.
The latest news is that LG is prepping a new touchscreen handset, dubbed LG KP500, which will also be known as LG Cookie, once it gets an official release. The 11.9mm thick handset will come with a touchscreen and a horde of other impressive features, if we believe the word on the street. Positioned below the touchscreen display will be just three buttons. The integrated accelerometer will make for auto-screen rotate for images, videos and documents. There would be support for widgets, but unfortunately, the handset won’t support 3G.
Technical Specifications: 3-inch TFT touchscreen display, 3-megapixel camera, quadband GSM, QWERTY keyboard, QVGA video recording at 12 fps, EDGE.
What others are saying?
David Gonzales at UnwiredView says:
It should be one of the most affordable touchscreen handsets out there, and no doubt a lot of people are going to make spring at it, the first chance they get.
Kelly Hodgkins at BGR says:
If you can do without high quality multimedia, the LG Cookie does have one very big redeeming quality and that is its price point.
Pricing and Availability: The touchscreen LG Cookie might hit the stores for around €170 (US $228). No word on release date as for now.
