The mobile phone seems to have come a long way since its invention some decades ago. Over the years it has evolved from the status of a mere device for talking to a sophisticated gadget with the most modern communication and multimedia functionality. But this does not seem to stop there. Scientists have formulated a beautiful concept called The Flow that changes the very nature of mobile communication in a matter of a decade.
Now you perform discrete activities like ‘on/off’, ‘clicking a photograph’ and dialing. But in future this technology will bring continuity to the operations performed. With this technology, you can send/ receive communication and catalogue it in an automatic manner according to your interest levels and availability status. That is, suppose you are busy for lets say 2 or 3 hours you need not switch off your phone that will cut off all communication. You can define your availability profile according to which your mobile phone will control your communication traffic.
The memory stores shared captures (photographs and sound files) in a chronological sequence for each of your contacts. This feature has of course taken after the Nokia Sport Tracker and MicroPhotosynth. The Profile feature will control your information traffic and will give you information (recommendations, structure and news) of your interest.
The best feature is that your information will not be limited to your mobile phone alone. You can gain access to it from any portal or device by identifying yourself through biometric means- well that means the equipment is going to know your unique identity by personal recognition, rather than any other means which may not be foolproof ways to security.
The scientists have already developed a mobile device with this concept. The screen registers user interactions and provides unlimited usage. It seems by the time this technology will be fully implemented the mobile phones will become much cheaper than what they are now and everybody will be able to use this technology.
This sure seems to be a dream concept that really seems to enhance the gravity and scope of the mobile technology.
