Sony Ericsson’s successor to it’s Z770 clamshell phone is the Z780. First, let’s look at what the leaked information has to tell us. From the pictures we can make out that the Z780 too has a clamshell design and that it has a smaller external display and the leaked information says that the phone is expected to have a QVGA screen of 240×320 pixels. Netfront 3.4 browser is carried over from the Z770. We assume that the Z780 will not leave out critical features like HSDPA that the Z770 had and the Z780 might even feature higher data speeds over it’s predecessor.
The camera too might have the older model’s 2 megapixel resolution but might come with auto focus and other Cybershot trick technology. Bluetooth 2.0, FM radio and a media player are certainties along with the regular call and texting features. We would love to see an upgraded camera of 3.2 megapixels with a xenon flash and geo-tagging. And the last bit of news we have for you is that the Z780 will be available in Amethyst Silver and Grand Onyx. The release date and pricing is unknown at the moment but expect Sony Ericsson to price the Z780 just a tad above the Z770. We will keep you updated if we get any further information about the Z780. Till then, hang around.
