The very hot looking W980 Walkman phone from Sony Ericsson that we first saw in CEBIT 2008 will hit mobile stores sometime this winter. Apart from marking Sony Ericsson’s foray into ultra sleek flip phones that are a traditional stronghold of Motorola, this beauty packs in an array of cutting edge features. Like the new Motorola Razr V8 series which has the music keys on its external touch sensitive display screen, the W980 too will have the legendary Walkman music keys on the top of the flip, albeit a couple of centimetres below the external screen.

The W980 will let also you stream FM radio to all the other phones in your vicinity which support FM radio. But then, this feature leaves us wondering why we need to stream FM radio to devices that already have the capability of connecting to the FM radio. Though cutting edge, this feature looks more like gimmick. Apart from the regular calling and texting features, this phone has plenty of nifty stuff like a 3.2 megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth and a whopping internal memory of eight gigabytes. All these features and its stunning flip form make the Sony Ericsson W980 one very stylish music phone.
