German VoIP telephone maker, snom technology AG, plans to unveil the first VoIP phone, dubbed snom 870 at the CeBIT, 2009. The VoIP phone will feature a touch screen with drag-and-drop feature. The drag-and-drop touch screen of the snom 870 allows users to connect calls and carry out conferencing with just a tap of the finger. In order to create a conference call, simply drag and drop button icons of contacts onto the relevant area of the display. It’s a profitable solution for home or office use. Snom may also display the MeetingPoint SIP conference phone along with 870. Snom, with partners Addix, Escaux Vertico Software and CREALOGIX Communication, aims at using CeBIT as a platform to display an all-inclusive summation of feasible applications for its VoIP technology.
