Samsung Omnia II GT-i8000 grills FCC standards with AT&T and Rogers Compatible Bands

samsung omnia ii i8000 gets fcc approval

LG intends to become the number one manufacturer of cellphones in the world with FCC approval for phones like the GW600. Yawn Samsung, Yawn! The Omnia II GT i-8000 has just passed the FCC test with features that are prouder than the word itself. The only problem is that it runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 but other than that, it is a real scorcher. The camera is a 5MP variant with autofocus, LED flash, Geotagging, face and smile detection, digital image stabilization and 15fps video recording. Everything you snap or record gets displayed through a 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED resistive touchscreen and is stored onto 8 or 16GB internal memory which also gets microSD storage assistance. Talk about connectivity and you get dualband 850/1900MHz, 3G HSDPA/HSUPA, EDGE and GSM support. To hook-up there is GPS, WI-Fi b/g and Bluetooth with A2DP support. Additional peripherals include a microUSB port and 3.5mm headphones socket. The phone is powered by 800MHz CPU and a 1,500mAh battery and it also comes with an integrated accelerometer.
