When Sprint brought Samsung Instinct, we knew that a decent competitor of the iPhone has finally arrived with its 3.1-inch touchscreen that unlike most smartphones is actually customizable, localized haptic feedback, three hard navigation keys, EV-DO Rev A and GPS. To give Apple a run for its money Sprint had packed Instinct with its own apps including Sprint Music Store, Navigation, TV, Visual Voicemail and a full HTML web browser all for $129.99 after $100 mail-in rebate and a two-year contract. Therefore, we were not taken by surprise by Sprint’s exclusive retail partner, Best Buy’s announcement that Samsung Instinct has made record sales in the first two weeks since its launch on June 19. It is for no reason that Samsung has packed Instinct with iPhone-like attributes.
