Samsung Galaxy S III looks like breaking all records, 9 million preorders already

It’s for the first time in the history of smartphones that we have seen such hype for a phone other than Apple’s iPhone. Samsung Galaxy S II might have been the world’s most selling smartphone but going by figures it seems like Galaxy S III is ready to dethrone its own cousin from the helm. According to a Samsung insider speaking to Korea Economic Daily, Samsung Galaxy S III has already received record-breaking 9 million preorders throughout the world. Company’s manufacturing unit in Korea itself is churning out 5 million units every month to meet this staggering demand.

Samsung announced their latest Galaxy series phone early this month in London. It will be first available in Germany from 29th May after which it will be rolled out to other parts of the world. With a half an inch larger display, 1.4 GHz processor and Ice Cream Sandwich, Galaxy S III is already turning out to be a worthy successor to S II. Though Samsung doesn’t give official figures about the number of units it sells worldwide most research and analytic companies have predicted Samsung to outstrip other manufacturers in terms of numbers worldwide. The company can be proud about its flagship phone that has truly arrested the attention of gadget freaks as well as market speculators. Samsung can certainly expect a rocking quarter ahead thanks to Galaxy S III.
