Target Customers: People who work in rugged environs.

While the Sonim XP3 was expected to be available from March 2009, it’s good to know that the firm has plans to make it available, prior to the holiday season. More rugged than the Sonim XP1, the Xtreme Performance 3 GSM phone smacks of Military Spec rating of 810F against salt, fog humidity, transport and thermal shock. The phone is able to withstand one meter of water depth for 30 minutes. Its 1180 mAh battery accounts for 5.5 hours of talk time and more than 9 days of standby time. Without a doubt, this kind of a phone is intended for use on places like construction sites by rugged individuals.

Technical Specifications: Durable Keyboard Mechanics/extra wide buttons, Built-in Torch, Keypad buttons tested to 500,000 pushes, support for more than 20 languages, 2.5mm Headset port and Mini USB for charging, and dedicated volume keys.

Pricing & Availability: The Sonim XP3 rugged GSM phone is available either SIM-unlocked for £245, including VAT or free on contract with Vodafone.
