How often have you had to put a conversation with an important business contact or a loved one or even your workout session on hold due a call from an unknown number? Frankly I’ve lost count. And I’ve also lost count of the number of times these unknown numbers happened to belong to pesky telemarketers. But a brand new downloadable caller ID service by Accudata Technologies subsidiary I D You is all set to change that forever. Called Privus Mobile, the service claims to identify names, both individual and corporate, for unknown numbers, even for the one’s that aren’t in the user’s phonebook.
The service promises to be able to identify up to 95 percent of names for callers while also providing information on many international calls. Privus Mobile even offers to keep blocked numbers from reaching you again. Of course, the service only works with a number of approved smartphones and wireless networks for the time being, but we fully hope many more handsets and carriers to be added to the list soon. The service currently costs $24.95 for a three month contract and $89.95 for a year’s worth.
