Nokia’s Feature Pack 2 finally has come with at least one reason to make the users smile! FP2 has brought with it Seamless Software Update(SSU) that allows Over-the-Air(OTA) update of the firmware without the users needing to flash or rewrite the entire operating system themselves. This means users can now update their mobile phone softwares without the threat of data loss in almost no time and nil efforts! Though this was a sort of trial-like OTA update, firmware version 11.043 became the first to receive the various featurical improvements in it’s functionalities of bluetooth, camera performance, music player and navigational tweaks over-the-air without any side-effects of data loss, as it was being feared. After this revolutionary OTA update the only notable side-effect detected was that of the maximum brightness of the cell’s display getting lowered by the levels of few clicks! Just look at the image of that remarkable ‘Updating…’ progress bar on the display of your mobile to learn what OTA is all about!
