Since the introduction of 2G and onwards generation of mobile phones, the connectivity of mobiles to the internet has become a common thing. More and more people rely on their mobile phones to perform online tasks. Earlier the mobiles remained virus free but with this evolution and mobile OS’s becoming more common the threat of virus has grown largely.

Keeping this in mind the leading mobile manufacturer NOKIA has come up with a firewall, which is part of the mobile network itself. The company has acquired a patient for this firewall. The firewall works as the traditional firewall and allows the recognized data to pass in and blocking the unwanted elements. It protects mobile devices that connect to the network by setting up ‘pinholes‘ through which they can send and receive legitimate data to and from the internet. Therefore, the NOKIA mobiles are now going to be more secured and reliable when it comes to surf.
