One more bread and butter phone from Nokia, the Nokia 5000. This good looking candybar phone resembles its music edition sibling, the very slim 5310. And this phone takes the eco friendly route according to Nokia although We don’t see too much eco friendly stuff except the green bordered panel. The feature set looks impressive for a budget phone with the phone featuring a 1.3 megapixel camera, apart from the regular calling and texting features, the 5000 gets the innovative Nokia audio messaging feature. The phone also has bluetooth connectivity and an MP3 player. Expandable memory, GPRS and FM radio make the 5000 a very rounded budget phone. And the clincher here is the expected price of $140 which will put it bang in the budget phone category. But, you need to wait till the second quarter of this year to get yourself one of these.
