How to mute only text alert in my Sony ericsson tm717 phone?

I am using Sony ericsson tm717phone and I want to mute the alert tone of messages in my phone. But when I am doing this then automatically the call alert also goes off. I want to off only text alert not call alert. So can anyone tell me that how can I do this in my phone?
