After success of Micromax Q55 Bling, Micromax released Bling 2. Bling series is strictly for women who really care about fashion. Like the Bling 1, Bling 2 too has a glossy body with Swarovski Zirconia crystals. The phone is shipped with a white leather pouch with an enclosed mirror and little space to keep your lip gloss. This phone would be a girl’s best friend. The phone runs on Android 2.2 Froyo. There are Swarovski Zirconia crystals around the 3 megapixel camera. Camera comes with an Autofocus feature.
There are pros and cons both with this phone. The screen is responsive and easy to use. But the battery is again short just like Bling 1. It offers very less talk time. But the call quality on the phone is good. The phone runs on very old android Froyo. Also the 600 Mhz processor is not at all made for multi tasking. This is something that you want your smartphone to have. But still the name of the game here is looks and this phone has got that Bling.
The new Bling 2 has lesser to offer in terms of looks when compared to Bling 1. The main reason is because most of the front space is taken by the 2.8 inch screen. It has the Home key semi circled by Swarovski Zirconia crystals. The phone has Android 2.2 Froyo as the operating system. It also has a 3.5 mm audio jack. The connectivity option in the phone includes WI-Fi, 3G, GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth and WAP. So those are all that you are going to need. The phone has a 600 Mhz processor, not so fast but average. The memory of the phone can be expanded up to 32 GB with the help of microSD card
The phone has pretty good looks and is designed for today’s stylish women. The phone is a little heavier weighing a little over 110 grams. It has the dimensions of 58.7 x 107.2 x 13.5 mm. The capacitive screen is 2.8 inch in size and offers good control over the UI. Just below the screen there are two touch buttons and third a home key. Around the home key you will find beautiful embedded crystals. There not so many buttons. Apart from three touch buttons it has volume rocker on the right side and an ON/OFF switch on the top along with a 3.5 mm headphone jack and micro USB port. On the back panel you will find a 3.0 megapixel camera with crystals encircling the lens. This phone is an all round attention gatherer.
So all round Micromax A55 Bling 2 is a great looking, stylish handset. The phone is priced around Rs 9000. In that price range you would find a better smartphone minus the looks. The phone has a lot of connectivity options and good memory expansion compatibility however, it has a poor battery life and the processor is no good for multi tasking. But when it comes to looks the phone steals the show, with no potential competitors in the market segment.
