LG Rumor was a perfect phone for SMS junkies who were low on budget. It had QWERTY keyboard, 1.3 MP camera and colored screen and was available for mere $50 with Sprint. I can bet that lots of SMS junkies missed this phone as it was not available for GSM networks. Seems like LG too is aware of the fact and that is why they’ve launched a new Rumor-isque phone. LG unveiled GSM enabled Rumor clone during Communicasia 2008 in Singapore. LG KS360 is a triband GSM GPRS/EDGE slider phone that comes with QWERTY keyboard. It goes a step ahead and incorporates a 2 MP camera (must have for any phone these days), Bluetooth, FM Stereo, Music Player 2.4-inch screen and USB 2.0 connectivity are other features that will lure in customers for LG.
Initially it will be launched in Asia only and then after FCC approval it will head US for a launch later this year. Expect it to be launched by T-mobile or AT&T.
