The HTC Desire S is a full touch smartphone and the first HTC device to come with Android 2.3 OS (Gingerbread). Powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm Scorpion processor, the Desire S has 768 MB RAM and the latest version of the HTC Sense UI. The smartphone sports a 5 megapixel camera with auto focus and LED flash. The camera can record 720p HD videos at 30 fps. A front facing VGA fixed focus camera is also present in the handset for video calling purposes. Other features found in the phone camera are geo-tagging and face detection.
The Desire S has unibody design with aluminum finish and weighs 130 g. The phone has a 3.7-inch full touch screen with S-LCD display (480 x 800 pixel resolution). This HTC smartphone ships with 1.1 GB of internal memory. The Android device is micro SD 2.0 compatible, and external memory up to 32 GB can be added using a micro SD card. The touch screen device has a 1450 mAh Li-Ion standard battery that supports 4 hours of talk time.
