Taking into account the huge interest in Wi-Fi connectivity, Chrysler has announced that they will be packing their 2009 cars with wireless capabilities. A new uconnect system will be in place in the upcoming models of the Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep that will turn them into moving wireless hotspots. The new technology will enable users to use their cellphones to get WiFi support for laptops or smartphones on the go. The uconnect system will be able to link all WiFi capable devices to the car’s electronics allowing users to enjoy features like controlling the iPod from the steering wheel, voice recognition and touch screen interface for better navigation and real time traffic features. An in-car 30 GB HDD with options for three channel satellite TV service and radio rounds up the power packed list and we sure hope all of this isn’t too good to be true when the models finally hit the showroom floor.
