Japanese phone makers have long remained reluctant to jump on the Smartphone bandwagon, but not anymore as the low-key tech manufacturer Fujitsu decides to develop its first Android smartphone. While there’s little technical information available about the phone, it is expected to be launched initially with Japan’s largest mobile network operator, DoCoMo. Powered by Google™ Android OS into the line-up of high-end phones in the market, Fujitsu plans to hit the market in 2011. In the wake of the stiff competition from smartphones, Fujitsu decided to take over Toshiba’s mobile phone business a couple of weeks ago to uphold their left behind devices.
