Have I fried my iPhone while replacing the LCD?

Hey guys, I just replaced my LCD screen on my iPhone 3G. The screen glue that holds the LCD onto the digitizer came loose so I replaced it. Upon reassembly the number 1 cable was giving me some problems connecting. While I was trying to reconnect it, the phone somehow got turned on and the number 1 cable disconnected while it was powered on and then the screen went blank and now it won’t turn on at all. No vibration functions. I tried to push the power and home buttons to crash boot it but still is inoperative. I plugged it into the computer and it is not being recognized in my computer folder or in iTunes. Did I just fry my iPhone while replacing the LCD? Please advice. Thanks.
