Fingers of fury: British woman sets new Text Messaging World Record

worlds fastest texter 1

While all the geeks and gadget happy consumers are sharpening their fingers and thumbs for the upcoming LG Mobile WorldCup tournament, there’s already a new world record awaiting official confirmation by the Guinness Book of World Records. A British woman, Melissa Thompson, has shattered the previous world record of world’s fastest text message by almost 10 seconds with a Samsung Galaxy S smartphone.

Thompson texted “the razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human” in 25.94 seconds beating the current official Guinness World Record holder, Franklin Page, who wrote the same sentence in 35.54 seconds in March.
