The Palm Pre never fell as low as $99 and it was a mere mistake but even then, the customers who benefited from the glitch were never asked for compensation. Those however waiting for a more realistic fall in the price may feel good to know that the drop is just around the corner though for a limited period. The Palm Pre ‘maybe’ available for $149.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate from today until October 31st 2009. All this is being speculated because of a legitimate document meant for a retail dealer which leaked this detail. Even the official Sprint stores may sell the smartphone for a similar price between the specified duration though it is yet to be confirmed. Interestingly, nothing about the deal has been announced thus far so we have our doubts regarding the price dip.
