Concept iPhone QWERTY-Slider case doubles as a bumper

Rumor mill has long been churning an iPhone with a physical keyboard (read QWERTY), despite Apple’s claim that its touchscreen can eliminate any such need. However, an Indian designer Altamash Jiwani has come up with an alternate solution for all those iPhone owners who are unconvinced with Apple’s claim – an iPhone bumper-case and QWERTY-slider. This mechanical keyboard communicates with the iPhone via the dock-connector to allow the user to press the physical buttons and see the entire screen while typing. The keyboard has a pass-through port on the outside for charging as you use it and slides down to hang in the air just below the display. While the idea still remains in the conceptual zone, it should strike Apple for solving the “deathgrip” in iPhone 4 along with an added usability feature.
