So I presently have a two year old Compaq Presario V6000 with dead screen. I paid about $ 1,350 for it. However only after two years the screen has totally died. Yet when an external monitor is plugged in, it works. I looked this issue up online on their official website and I found that I have to get the serial number of my laptop. Unfortunately I have not been able to find my serial number there. This is ridiculous. I bought this laptop with a life expectancy to be much more than 2 years. What can I do about my Compaq Presario V6000 dead screen? Please help me out here.
