I own a new Dell notebook preloaded with Windows 7 Starter. I haven’t connected it to the internet yet, so it hasn’t downloaded any updates or anything. But when I tried to play some of my videos, which were in mpg2 format it played them as audio only, the same way it would play an MP3. This is annoying, because I’ve never had this problem on any other computer. I’ve been told that I just need to download a codec that will let it play the files. But I don’t know from where to get the codec’s as similar to my problem. Please help in getting the codec’s by sending your valuable suggestions. Thanks so much!
