Now that BlackBerry has revolutionized the way we use our cellphones, every other cellphone and communication device maker out there wants to create their own version of the iconic smartphone. And the latest communication solutions manufacturer to be “inspired” by the BB is BT, who has announced that they will soon be introducing a “BlackBerry-style” device that will enable users to send and receive e-mail and surf the net. Yawn, doesn’t every other handset give the same luxury these days? Anyway, the HTC-created handset will be fully functional on BT’s wireless Home Hub indoors and will be compatible with Vodafone network outdoors with the option of you choosing from a variety of BT broadband packages for your internet activities.

What I don’t understand is, why the company has to go on and make things so complicated when they could simply get a carrier to offer their net-access packages without the entire pretension of getting a BB-inspired phone to switch from one kinda service to another ever so often? I mean most people already have much more sophisticated desktops and notebooks to use at home and on the go for their computing purposes, and besides, anyone who ever wanted something like a BlackBerry already has one of those, so this “genius” idea from BT looks doomed even before it officially made a launch in the market.
