Why is blackberry bold 9650 email troubling me?

I recently bought myself a brand new blackberry bold 9650 but after using it for sometimes I figured out that it was a defective piece. My emails won’t work at all. I had to ‘move’ the accounts over, so I did. It said it was successful and yet I won’t receive any new emails or anything! I’ve tried taking the battery out, nothing has solved the issue. I try to send the service books, and when I do it says “update failed”. Does anyone know anything how can I do fix it? If yes, than please suggest something.
