Before Droid X made a cinematic shudder just prior to the launch, there featured a fun-poking ad on the New York Times that said – “You have a voice. And you deserve to be heard.” Needless to say, Apple didn’t pay attention to. It did and it came out with a reply on its a new smartphone antenna performance page highlighting the Droid X dropping its signal bars to zero when gripped in a manner similar to the “death grip.” Previously Apple has featured phones from Research in Motion, HTC, and Samsung, as well as the iPhone 3GS claiming antenna issues in these smartphones.
