Owing to the early demand and unexpected volume of orders for the iPhone 4, Apple is prompting the customers to consider competitors’ smart phones. However, according to the latest reports, the next batch of international Apple iPhone 4 may start shipping July 28. While such a relationship between demand and supply is generally considered a good problem to have in a competitive market, the supply shortages would give enviable benefit to Apple’s competitors, who are delivering features overlooked by Apple. With threats coming from Nokia N8, 4G EVO and highly anticipated operating system from RIM, it has to be seen how many units Apple sells over the next few quarters.
