Another iPhone challenger from LG

LG seems to be trying very hard to challenge Apple’s iPhone and has met with very little or no success yet. First, they tried it with the Chocolate series phones and then they went along to team up with the fashion label, Prada to create the PRADA series. Now, we have another phone from LG that is a potential iPhone challenger, and this time round it is a smartphone called the KS-20. Look wise, the KS-20 has a very clean and uncluttered candybar design which makes it look like a million bucks, especially in the all black trim. You only have three buttons on the front panel to handle calling functions and the KS-20 features a 2.8 inch touch screen which works with a stylus.

The phone works on the Windows 6.0 platform which indicates that LG is aiming squarely at the business class who want a smartphone with all the bells and whistles of a Windows operating system. WiFi, which is now making it’s way into almost all high-end smartphones, makes it to this phone as well and data transfer is via HSDPA. Bluetooth 2.0 aids connectivity and memory expandability is via the MicroSD slot. We are disappointed with the camera which just has 2 megapixels, but the camera has an LED flash which somehow makes the camera look like a decent item. We do think that this phone deserves a 3.2 megapixel camera and if you ask us whether this phone can oust the iPhone, the answer is a firm NO. This is primarily because the LG KS-20 has all the right stuff features wise, but it just doesn’t have some extreme innovation that is so necessary to beat the mighty iPhone.
