There is much hoopla as to which cellphone maker will first carry the Android device to the cell phone world and when. HTC, we knew, was gearing up to incorporate this Google OS to a forthcoming device. The news currently doing the rounds is that Android will come packed with HTC’s Polaris, also known as Touch Cruise.
So, what will Android handsets have in store for us? Android will be the platform for supporting VGA, 2D graphics library, 3D graphics, SQLite for structured data storage. It supports a wide array of connectivity including GSM, CDMA, Bluetooth, EDGE, EV-DO, 3G and Wi-Fi. Web browsing is based on WebKit application framework. It is one of the most media friendly platform supporting advanced audio, video and still media formats. We could safely conclude that Touch Cruise will be one of the most exciting products from HTC.
