We yesterday said that Nokia has a habit of hitting the FCC approval with a non-3G and 3G version of the same phone concurrently, and that belief was purely a disguised form of hope. Adding to the guise, we now believe that the E52 will be joined by the XpressMusic 5530 which too surfaced on the FCC as a non 3G model. The approved variant supports the EGDE for WWAN and relies on WiFi connectivity. However, if both these phones do not re-appear as 3G models, it is not only us who will loose faith, even the Nokia admirers would start thinking likewise. On a different note, who knows there might be a stunning Android based 3G somewhere around the corner from the Finnish giant.
