Next-gen iPhone to identify ‘unauthorized’users

It surely is a pain to password protect your phone to save it from unauthorized usage however, Apple has filed a patent application that intends to identify “unauthorized” users of iOS devices. Taking the password protection to a whole new level, Apple’s patented application would use voice, facial, or heartbeat recognition to confirm whether a user is authorized to have access to a given device. This interactive system could limit access to sensitive data stored on the device upon detecting an unauthorized user. While the exact nature of the system is still not clear, it has already been generating some discussion and controversy over exactly what the company could do with methods to identify unauthorized users of iOS devices. Also there’s a dire need to stay up with competition as Nokia has introduced face tracking verification on Nokia N900 smartphone.
