A while back I was on Ubuntu and my CD/DVD drive stopped working, well, the light would come on but it wouldn’t open. I figured it was a problem with Linux so eventually I got it to reopen after about 50 attempts and reformatted. Once back on Windows it worked fine then it stopped again so this time I took the CD/DVD drive out and replaced it with another CD drive I have, well, doing this I ended up damaging the inside of my tower up I think because I can only push about half of the CD drive in the tower. Anyways, it worked for a little too and it stopped opening too. My computer BIOs recognizes it and all of that. I really need to reformat and now I’m running into a lot of stress not having a usable CD drive. How can I fix my CD drive to open or go into tower fully?
